The head of the crisis team, the Secretary of State for Consumer Affairs, Anna Heyer-Stuffer, and the Secretary of State for Agriculture, Silvia Bender, visited the white zone near Neuzelle where about 125 kilometers of fence have been completed and more than 120 traps have been placed.

Therefore, once the first white zone is completely isolated, the complete elimination of wild boar can begin. The state pays a compensation of 30 euros (<30 kg live weight) and 50 euros (>30 kg live weight) for the collection and delivery of wild boar to the assigned points in the districts.

As of December 2, there are a total of 183 confirmed cases of African swine fever in wild boar in the state of Brandenburg:

  • Spree-Neisse district: 14
  • Oder-Spree district: 147
  • Märkisch-Oderland district: 22
  • Total for the State of Brandenburg: 183
