Argentina's pork production continues to grow

So far this year, pork production has shown positive monthly growth rates, which go hand in hand with the increase in animal weight.

Total pork production from January to July reached 435,532 tons (t), representing an increase of 4.8% compared to the same period in 2022.

In the month of July, 64,637 metric tons were produced, which represents an increase of 3.3% compared to the same month of 2022 and a decrease of 0.4% compared to June.

The average carcass weight for July was 97 kg bone-in, representing an increase of 1 kg compared to the same month of the previous year and with respect to June.

The results by category show an average of 95 kg for barrows, while immunocastrated males reached 101 kg.
