CHALLENGE
High yielding animals as sows, laying hens and dairy cows among others, must cope with many stress factors, which can lead to chronic inflammation. In turn, this reduces productivity and increases the environmental footprint. Inflammation is part of the animal’s natural defense mechanism. While it is a crucial function for every organism, the level of inflammation (whether acute or chronic) and its root cause can have a significant negative impact on animal performance. The consequence is poor feed intake and a lower yield (growth, egg or milk), which ultimately leads to productivity decline and carbon footprint increases. One key aspect for breeders is ensuring their animals do not develop chronic inflammation syndrome to keep good health and maximize the animals’ performance and energy efficiency.

Choice of ingredients:
The composition of PhytriCare® IM covers a broad range of flavonoid subclasses allowing to benefit from the different classes’ positive effects.
Extraction process:
Active compounds are not equally spread within the plants. Therefore, through the processing only dedicated extracts and plant compounds end up in the final product.
Particle size distribution:
The particle size distribution affects the take up of the compounds in fed animals. The product is designed with a specific particle size distribution to ensure compound’s availability in the digestive tract
Raw material qualification:
Only certain raw materials are considered for processing that fulfill the high quality standards regarding flavonoid content.
Product specification:
® IM contains minimum of 100 g of flavonoids per kg of product, hereby being one of the highest concentrated products in the market.

to science, we identified flavonoids that have anti-inflammatory properties and are known for their systemic anti-inflammatory effect with established mode of action. PhytriCare® IM is a mixture of carefully selected plant extracts with a minimum content of 10% flavonoids. This blend selection aims to target a wide range of inflammatory pathways to alleviate but not suppress the inflammatory response, as the regular immune response should never be jeopardized. PhytriCare® IM is tasty in feed and product properties enable good digestibility and absorption of the blend with its flavonoids.
