Adisseo proudly announces the addition of a new feature into its ADICT tool, supporting the SustainWay service

Worldwide, sustainability is a growing concern, especially in animal production, as this sector contributes notably to greenhouse gas emissions. Animal feed and formulation play a pivotal role here, since the feed contributes largely to the environmental impact of animal production.

Adisseo has built SustainWay, a dedicated service, structured around four different steps, to guide its customers on their sustainability journey. One of these steps emphasizes feed formulation.

To address this, Adisseo has introduced a new module within its ADICT tool, enabling nutritionists, sustainability managers and all people involved in balancing optimal nutritional values of feed with cost efficiency and environment.

Through the ‘ADICT sustainability module’, users can:

  • Extract environmental impact values for many ingredients and origins (GFLI database) and hence integrate them into the formulation software.
  • Formulate feeds with three dimensions: nutrition, economy and sustainability.
  • See where the ‘environmental impact hotspots’ are in the feed and see how certain changes influence the total carbon footprint of the diet (and other impact categories) and the feed cost.

By combining innovative nutritional products and solutions with science-based services such as ADICT, Adisseo supports the transition towards a more responsible, sustainable and efficient livestock sector.
