Ygor Henrique de Paula

Ygor Henrique de Paula was born in Bambuí, Brazil, in 1997. He is an agricultural technician and animal scientist. He graduated in 2015 from the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Minas Gerais (IFMG). He graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University Center of Patos de Minas (UNIPAM) in 2020. He completed his master's degree in Animal Science in 2022 and his doctorate in Animal Science in 2025, both from the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA). During his doctorate, he spent 12 months as a Visiting Research Student at the University of Saskatchewan in Canada.

He works in the ASIH (Animal Science and Intestinal Health) research area. He has experience in swine intestinal health, nutrition, microbiology, and experimental research. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM) at the University of Saskatchewan, contributing to studies with infectious agents in biosafety level 2 (BSL-2) laboratory environments.
