Sergi Barrabes

Sergio Barrabés Aneas is a strategic marketing executive specializing in animal health and pig production. He currently works at PIC (Pig Improvement Company) Europe, where he serves as Strategic Marketing Director Europe, based in Barcelona. After earning his degree in Veterinary Medicine, he furthered his education with an EMBA from ESADE Business School and built a career spanning more than 20 years in marketing and sales within the veterinary sector.

His connection to pig production began on the family farm and later continued professionally as a technician at insemination centers and companies specializing in reproduction.

Before joining PIC, he developed part of his career at CEVA Santé Animale and IDT Biologika, where he held business development roles in the swine and poultry sectors across Iberia. His experience has focused on strategic marketing, business development, positioning of highly technical solutions, and value creation in international environments linked to animal health and production.

Throughout his career, he has worked on projects related to innovation, technical communication, and knowledge transfer to the sector, combining commercial vision with an understanding of the production challenges facing the swine value chain. His current professional activity is particularly focused on how genetics, management, and strategy can contribute to improving the competitiveness of pig producers.
