Ricard Carreras Ubach

Veterinarian and PhD in Animal Production. He currently serves as Head of Knowledge Transfer and Sectoral and Territorial Projects at the BETA Technological Center, where he leads the identification and addressing of the main challenges facing the agri-food sector, aiming to improve its sustainability and reduce its environmental impact. He coordinates innovative projects and services, as well as organizing knowledge transfer activities targeted at the sector.

His work focuses particularly on implementing strategic projects related to the circular bioeconomy and sustainable rural development, working closely with regional stakeholders and sector actors to drive sustainable transformations.

He is a member of the board of directors and coordinates the biogas commission of the Catalonia Bioenergy Cluster, where he contributes to the development of innovative strategies in this field.

In previous roles, he coordinated the Table for the Sustainable Management of Livestock in Osona, worked in the food industry as Head of Innovation, and taught sustainable agriculture and livestock farming at various academic institutions.
