Raúl Sánchez Sánchez

Raúl Sánchez Sánchez works as an investigator in the Swine Reproduction Group at the Agricultural and Food Investigation and Technology National Institute (INIA). He also works at the farm level, through investigation projects or the implementation of technologies, together with private companies, that are developed jointly with the INIA.

During the 1980s and the 1990s he had an eager involvement in the implementation of the artificial insemination (AI) technique on the Spanish farms through the development of projects related to AI, staff training, design of AI centres' projects, and the solving of the problems that appeared. He has also participated in pig production developent programmes in several Latin American countries.

Among his appointments, we have:

• Management of the Animal Reproduction Department at the INIA.
• Consultant for Technical Cooperation between Developing Countries (TCDC). Appointed by the UN for Food and Agriculture.
• Corresponding Member of the Royal Academy of Veterinary Sciences of Spain.
