Patrik uses his sound scientific and economic background as well as his broad international experience to find solutions to challenges in the field of animal health and food safety. His strength is to involve all stakeholders in his projects, taking into account their different needs and capabilities. Patrik joined SAFOSO in August 2019 as Director.   

Patrik studied biochemistry and organic chemistry at the University of Applied Science, Zurich and holds an executive MBA from the University St. Gallen. 

He has more than 15 years of experience in the field of production-animal diseases. Working for multiple international diagnostics companies has helped him gain profound knowledge of veterinary diagnostics and its application in different settings. During his career he successfully managed numerous projects with partners from private industry, government and institutions from all over the world.

16-Oct-2020adrian-balabanIt's very funny that this idea of compartmentalization comes into the discussion now, when Germany was hit by ASF, the East and Central European countries are asking for this for the last 4-5 years and all the time the answer was negative. Anyway it will take a lot of courage from the EU commission to accept this idea because most probably, this means that they have to give up to the decision 709/2014 and to recognize the compartments all over the world . The idea could work, we have this example in romania where we use to have the chanalized system, that was successful.
