David Rosero

Assistant Professor at Iowa State University - United States Author

Dr. David Rosero leads a dynamic research program at Iowa State University focused on developing practical innovations that promote sustainable systems in swine production. His current research initiatives include 1) maximizing the nutritional value of ingredients in swine diets, 2) improving animal viability by implementing targeted nutritional interventions, and 3) leveraging computer vision and artificial intelligence technologies to optimize production practices and animal welfare. Leveraging his previous experience as Technical Director at The Hanor Company, he combines valuable industry experience with his academic endeavors. His research contributions have been recognized with the Emerging Scholar Award from the American Society of Animal Science and the Research Innovation Award from the National Pork Board. He was recently named Outstanding Alumni by North Carolina State University and received the George Foxcroft Lectureship in Swine Production for his efforts in bringing “Research to Reality”.
