He got a PhD in animal nutrition at the Veterinary Faculty of the Universidad de Zaragoza (Spain) in 1998.

Since 1998 to 2001 he worked for a multinational feed compounder (Agribrands Europe, former Purina). During this period he got experience in feed formulation for different livestocks.

Since 2001 he has been working as Technical Sales Manager for Spain and Portugal in Evonik Degussa International. He has been focused on technical aspects related with the amino acids in the feed production and animal nutrition: determination of amino acid requirements, dosing systems for amino acids, customer services, legal aspects, etc. He carries out R+D+i activities in collaboration with different organisms and Universities and published articles in different magazines of the sector.

Tryptophan in swine nutrition

Tryptophan has positive effects on voluntary feed intake. This greater feed intake leads to increased growth performance and improved feed conversion ratio in piglets, and to lower body weight losses in sows during lactation.
