DIY wall-hanging tool holder

Leaving tools on top of pen dividers is not always the best option...

Objetive

Make work easier and more efficient by having everything at hand.

Description

This trick involves creating a carrier for artificial insemination supplies for use in the heat detection area or in the box. There are an increasing number of situations in which sows, or more often gilts, are inseminated in front of the boar or, in any case, are free and not in a crate. Having the equipment (catheters, semen doses, lubricant, rubber bands) at hand needed for this task is not easy.

The pens housing the pigs consist of walls dividing the different spaces and aisles. Normally, the partitions are 10-12 cm thick. Leaving tools on these dividers is not always effective: they can fall, not everything you need is right there, etc. Which is why I thought about using a "hanging flower box", which has hooks, but they are not wide enough to be hung on the dividers. So why not create an ad hoc container?

To do so, we buy a bicycle wall mount that is wide enough to hang on the partition (we found this at the hardware store). Then we look for a fruit crate or something similar, and that's it! We screw the hooks through the box and, if desired, we use a small wooden board for reinforcement.

Simple, cheap... and effective!
