The Netherlands: New system for animal transport logs

Requests for the provision of this data will be automated.

The NVWA will switch to a new registration system for travel logs, GPS, and temperature data of long transports as of mid-June 2025. The most important change is that requests for the provision of this data will be automated.

Transports driven are reported to the NVWA via Traces the next day. After 30 days, a carrier automatically receives a request to submit the associated travel log per travel log/Intra number. This means that the reporting with a collection of transports per carrier in a certain period is no longer available.

The requests are sent at a fixed time during the week and have a different layout than before. The new system allows only one email address per carrier as contact for the NVWA to request travel logs, GPS, and temperature data.
