A national association for pig farmers will be established in the country in a bid to substitute importation of the produce.
Swaziland National Agricultural Union (SNAU) President Jabulani Tsabedze said through the assistance of stakeholders, they envisaged establishing a national association for pig farmers.

He said the association would oversee the operations of pig farmers, for instance, on whether they followed standards and helping them access local markets.
Tsabedze said the national association would work hand in hand with regional associations which were available in all regions of the country. He said each region had one association, adding that the piggery initiative was what the union was also concentrating on this year.
