Poland: First ASF outbreak in pigs this year

The farm is located in the Pomeranian province.

An African swine fever (ASF) outbreak has been confirmed in the village of Sychowo (Luzino municipality, Wejherowo county).

Numerous cases of ASF in wild boars have also been reported in the north of the country in recent weeks.

Poland: First ASF case in the Lodz province

At the end of May, African swine fever was confirmed in a wild boar carcass found in Lodz province. This is the first case in this province.

In the first four months of the year, the number of reported ASF cases in wild boar almost equaled the total number reported for all of 2024.
