Santa Catarina ended September 2025 with historic results in meat exports. The state exported 197,700 tons of meat (chicken, pork, turkey, duck, beef, and others), totaling US$438.1 million in revenue—the highest monthly value ever recorded in the historical series, which began in 1997, and the second-best performance in terms of volume.
Pork
In September, pork from Santa Catarina reached the highest monthly export value ever recorded: US$181.6 million, with 72,300 tons shipped. The volume represents an increase of 28.3% compared to August and 17.7% compared to September 2024. In terms of quantity, this was the second-highest volume ever exported by the state, behind only July 2022.

From January to September, Santa Catarina exported 562,200 tons, generating US$1.39 billion in revenue — increases of 6.6% and 14%, respectively, compared to the same period in 2024.
The main markets for pork from Santa Catarina during the period were Japan, the Philippines, China, Chile, and Mexico. Santa Catarina consolidated its national leadership in pork exports, accounting for 51.5% of the country's volume and 52% of its revenue.
