Important increase in pork imports in China

The latest data published by the General Administration of Customs of China show an important increase in pork imports in China.

In April, pork imports reached 136,517 tonnes, this representing an increase by 24% with respect to April 2018, when imports reached 110,098 tonnes.

Between January and April 2019, China has imported 470,776 tonnes of pork, 8.5% more than during the first 4 months of 2018, when the imports reached 434,098 tonnes.
