The bill on information transparency for agricultural and food products was finally approved on May 27, 2020.

With this law, the labelling of the origin of pork, poultry, sheep, goat, and minced meat will be mandatory for food service (dining, restaurants) as well (it was already mandatory for beef).

In addition, the law will prohibit the use of terms used to indicate foods of animal origin to describe, market, and promote foods containing vegetable proteins, beyond a certain limit to be set by a decree.
