The Danish presidency of the EU Council for the second half of 2025, under the motto "A strong Europe in a changing world", will focus on simplifying agricultural and fisheries regulations, strengthening the green transition, fostering innovation, and enhancing competitiveness.
Priorities include initiating work on the post-2027 CAP, tackling unfair cross-border trading practices, supporting farmers in the supply chain, promoting new genomic techniques, and advancing animal welfare.
In fisheries, the aim is to set fishing opportunities for 2026 in a timely manner to provide clarity for fishers.
