According to the latest data on Chinese imports, China imported 70,000 tons of pork in January 2026. This figure decreased to 50,000 tons in February and then recovered slightly in March with 60,000 tons. In total, during the first quarter of 2026, China imported 180,000 tons of pork, a 33% decrease from the same period of the previous year.
Regarding offal, quarterly imports totaled 280,000 tons, reflecting a nearly 10% drop compared to the first quarter of 2025. Imports in January totaled 110,000 tons, in February 80,000 tons, and in March 90,000 tons.

Looking at the historical first-quarter data since 2020, pork imports have dropped drastically by 84% in the first quarter of 2026 compared to the historical high in the first quarter of 2021. On the other hand, offal imports have shown a more stable trend. Notably, starting in 2024, the volume of offal imported exceeds that of pork, indicating a change in the composition of Chinese imports within the swine industry.
