The official Brazilian mission to South Korea reported progress in the processes for opening and expanding markets for Brazilian agricultural products. The Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Carlos Fávaro, announced (as mentioned by the South Korean president) the final stage for the export of eggs, the forecast of audits for grapes and beef, and the expansion of the states that will be evaluated for the export of pork to the Asian country.
In the last two years, Brazil has opened 538 international markets for agricultural products.

The South Korean government has confirmed receipt of the necessary documentation to open its market to Brazilian eggs, and the certificate is expected to be issued in the coming days.
Progress has also been made in accepting applications to expand the number of Brazilian states authorized to export pork. States recognized by the World Organization for Animal Health as free from foot-and-mouth disease and classical swine fever will be able to request that South Korea evaluate their analyses.
Negotiations on beef have also progressed. Brazil has been seeking to open this market since 2008 and, according to the minister, South Korea has confirmed that it will conduct audits on Brazilian meat processing plants. These measures are part of the official Brazilian mission's agenda and expand health and trade cooperation between Brazil and South Korea, paving the way for increased agricultural exports.
