Production of the three main meats (beef, pork, and chicken) in 2026 is estimated at 32.3 million tons. If confirmed, the forecast volume represents a new historic record for the National Supply Company (Conab), surpassing the current production estimate for this year of 32.1 million tons. This good result is influenced by the increase in pork and chicken production, which should reach approximately 5.8 million tons and 15.9 million tons, respectively, the highest volumes ever recorded by Conab. The data was released on September 18 at the event Perspectives for the 2025/26 Agricultural and Livestock Campaign in Brasilia.

Record pork production will enable an increase in domestic availability, forecast at 4.3 million tons in 2026, as well as a further rise in exports. Strong external performance is driven by the competitiveness of Brazilian products, as well as consistent demand from new Asian markets in the face of declining Chinese demand. Noteworthy are the Philippines (which surpassed China as the largest destination), Japan, South Korea, and Singapore. As a result, exports are expected to reach a new record, exceeding 1.5 million tons, as a result of continued Asian demand.
