The Brazilian government has concluded negotiations that will allow Brazil to export dried distillers grains (DDG/DDGS) to Chile.

This development benefits an important agricultural input derived from corn ethanol production. Dried distillers grains (DDG/DDGS) are used in the production of feed for poultry, cattle, and pigs.

In 2025, Brazil exported more than 2.2 billion US dollars in agricultural products to Chile, with meat, forest products, and the soybean complex standing out as the most prominent.

These results are the outcome of joint efforts between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).
