Phase One of the WelFarmers website is now live, offering visitors a glimpse into the project’s foundational elements.

WelFarmers, the pioneering EU-founded project dedicated to identify the best welfare standards in pig farms and share them with all the European farmers, is proud to announce the launch of its multi-phase website. Designed to provide a comprehensive journey through the project’s initiatives, the website will unfold in three phases, each offering unique insights and resources to stakeholders across the industry.

Phase One of the WelFarmers website is now live, offering visitors a glimpse into the project’s foundational elements:

Project Description: Delve into the overarching objectives and scope of the WelFarmers project, gaining a deeper understanding of its mission to promote animal welfare and sustainability in pig farming practices.

Networks & Associations: Explore the diverse consortium of partners involved in WelFarmers, including pig farmers, research centers, and higher education institutions from eight European countries. Learn about the collaborative efforts driving innovation and progress in pig welfare.

Social Media Integration: Connect with WelFarmers across various social media platforms, including Instagram, X, LinkedIn and YouTube, to stay informed, engaged in discussions, and contribute to the ongoing dialogue surrounding pig welfare.

In a near future, Phase Two of the website will spotlight the best practices identified in each participating Regional Network, focusing on four main areas of the project:

These best practices will showcase innovative approaches and solutions aimed at addressing the most pressing challenges facing the EU pig sector.

Finally, Phase Three will culminate in the presentation on the best practices identified across all participating countries. These exemplary practices will represent a collective effort to promote sustainable and ethical pig farming practices, driving positive change on a continental scale.
