“EuroTier 2010 in Hanover has a truly global focus. Pig producers and animal health innovators from all over the world will be present.”

So says Paul Anderson, International Sales Director of JSR, the UK’s top pig genetics company, about their return to EuroTier, the world’s leading animal production event taking place from 16th to 19th November in Hanover, Germany.

“JSR continue to make significant strides into the global pig industry and as a result feel it is crucial we attend the event and fly the flag for UK genetics. Many of our global partners will be joining us on the JSR stand.

“This is our first time at Eurotier for several years, which has grown into a really well respected global event. BPEX is hosting a reception for Chinese delegates, there are seminars for Asian and European delegates and exhibitors will attend from 48 countries. So, it’s a great place to meet up with our many Asian and European partners – a lot of whom will be bringing their own customers – to build and strengthen relationships and make new contacts in territories that we don’t yet have a presence in. With our growing international reputation and drive, it makes sense for JSR to attend and be a representative for the UK.”
Introducing visitors to their product portfolio, JSR’s stand will focus on the consistent ‘lifetime performance’ of the Genepacker 90 parent gilt, capable of producing 15 extra pigs per sow per lifetime. The JSR Genecoverter Sirelines will also feature including the Geneconverter 700 with its outstanding feed efficiency and low cost of production. Digital touch screen displays in Russian, Chinese and Spanish will highlight the global nature of JSR’s business.
“The robust productivity of the GP 90 is relevant to producers from all regions,” explains Mr Anderson. “So too is our technical support, which ensures that the genetic potential of JSR breeding stock is fully realised, wherever in the world we export.”

JSR Chairman, Tim Rymer, is looking forward to attending the event. “Our presence at EuroTier underlines our commitment to the global pig industry, to supplying the growing demand for high quality pig genetics. We have recently made great progress in China, Taiwan, Malaysia and the Ukraine. Now JSR will capitalise on these gains, and show its strength and capability at Eurotier. I am especially delighted to welcome our Chinese agent, TC Wang, onto the stand, who will also act as a translator. Elena Kruk, our agent in the Ukraine, a Russian speaker, will also be on hand to talk to visitors from the CIS Region.”
Other JSR personnel will include international pig expert, Nigel Bennett; Dr Grant Walling, JSR’s Director of Research and Genetics; Giles Christie, JSR’s UK Sales Director and Independent Consultant Paul Wright who will demonstrate Checkmate® Software, a physical and financial monitoring programme designed to estimate the profit potential of any given unit and ensure genetic potential translates into on-farm profitability.
