The Trustees Board of the Centre de Recerca en Sanitat Animal (CReSA), the maximum decision body of the Foundation, agreed on its dissolution for the global cession of its assets and liabilities to the Institut de Recerca i Tecnologia Agroalimentàries (IRTA), a public sector company from the Generalitat de Catalunya, which it is affiliated to the Departament d'Agricultura, Ramaderia, Pesca, Alimentació i Medi Natural (DAAM).

The global cession of the assets and liabilities from CReSA to IRTA implies the dissolution without the liquidation of the Foundation CReSA and the transfer of all its patrimony to the IRTA, a company that will absorb by way of universal succession the rights and obligations from the Foundation CReSA.

This agreement responds to the common wish from the entities whose created the Foundation, which are integrated to its Trustees Board (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and IRTA), to maintain the activities that CReSA has carried out until now. This process is expected to last for a few more months and the complete integration with IRTA is estimated to be concluded at the beginning of 2015.

August 11, 2014 - CReSA.
