Topigs Norsvin has shown that our genetics and expertise have made significant contributions to the industry. I am excited to begin my new role and look forward to contributing to the further development of both the pork sector and Topigs Norsvin."
Arno van der Laar, Regional Director Europe, highlighted Bertacchini's qualifications: "Francesco's deep understanding of the Italian market, breeding, and genetics makes him the ideal candidate for the Managing Director position in Italy. His experience and expertise will ensure that we maintain and even expand our market leadership in the coming years and secure our strong ties with the Italian pig farming industry for the long term."
Van der Laar also acknowledged the significant contributions of Gian Giacomo Grandi: "During his long tenure, Gian Giacomo played a crucial role in the successful development of Topigs Norsvin in Italy. Under his leadership, the company became the market leader in the country, and he transformed the organization into a valuable component of the pork production chain.
