At this year's digital EuroTier Big Dutchman presented CompoLiner, an innovative system that composts dry poultry excrement, broiler manure or separated pig slurry fully automatically. After developing and testing the complete system that comes ready to be connected for several years, CompoLiner is now ready for serial production and released for sale worldwide.

Microorganisms degrade the organic input material in an aerobic environment. The final product is compost: a valuable, organic fertiliser that can easily be used for general soil improvement in horticulture and agriculture and that can also be pelletised. The system is easy to handle and can adapt to the amount of material that needs to be composted. As an option, the German equipment supplier offers an air scrubber module developed specifically for CompoLiner.

How CompoLiner works

The input material, which should have a dry matter content of at least 30 percent, is transported to the filling side, where it enters CompoLiner. A lane turner ensures that the material is milled, homogenised and conveyed to the discharging auger. A compressor continuously guides fresh air into the material.

Temperature and oxygen content in the compost are permanently measured by a sensor. After a specific storage period that depends on the composted material, an auger discharges the compost at the other end of the container.

More advantages

  • modular design: the basic version consists of two 40-foot (standard) containers that also serve as end sets;
  • up to six additional 40-foot containers can be installed for a variable capacity between 80 and 360 m³, i.e. approximately 50,000 to 200,000 layers;
  • good resistance to corrosion because the entire system’s interior is lined with stainless steel;
  • central extraction of emissions.
