WOSLAB*|2012

Welcome to WOSLAB*|2012, the first edition of The World of Sustainable Laboratory, an initiative promote by MAITE Foundation.

WOSLAB*|2012 Summit is jointly organized with the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), and will be held from 5 to 8 November 2012 in Bilbao, a city of business and tourism, of culture and gastronomy, with significant urban and architectural novelties.
Bilbao is today a post-industrial city, becoming a prime example of sustainable urban development and goes hand in hand with a new creation and knowledge-based economy.

Based on this profound transformation, no other city could held better than Bilbao this 1st WOSLAB* Summit, which aims to promote a necessary change in the way scientific facilities are designed, built, equipped and managed.    

WOSLAB*|2012 Summit is a gathering for those entities and people related with the field of laboratories, as well as for decision makers. It will be a tremendous opportunity for experts from around the world (researchers, technical users, managers of scientific facilities, industrial suppliers of products and services, architects, health and safety officers, environmental managers, etc.) to share the latest advances in this field, learn from one another’s expertise, and develop strategies for advancing all facets of our efforts to improve scientific facilities.
