International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE)

The international pig industry is meeting in Atlanta the last week
of January to network, see the latest technology in pig production
and pork processing and learn about the latest developments in the international arena at the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE). More than 28,000 leaders from more than 100 countries in the animal protein sectors from farm to point of sale will take advantage of a week-long educational programs and see the opportunity to see latest in technology from over 1,175 exhibitors.

The IPPE is a collaboration by the American Feed Industry Association, the American Meat Institute and the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association that has grown to be the 35th largest trade show in America, according to Trade Show Executive magazine.

A wide variety of educational programs tailored to the pig industry will be offered. On Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, from 1 to 5 p.m., Pork 101 sponsored by the American Meat Institute and the American Meat Science Association will provide highlights of a three-day Pork 101 conference. This session will cover quality and consistency issues in the pork industry, including insight on value differences in swine, pork carcasses, pork primals and processed pork products due to quality variation.

On Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015, the program will feature the Pork Tech Theater on the show floor where attendees can learn about the latest developments in the international pig industry.
