Challenges in fertilization and manure management

On behalf of the Organizing Committee and as president of the same, I am pleased to introduce the International Symposium: "Challenges and opportunities in the fertilizer and livestock manure management" to be held in Edifici el Sucre, Vic (Barcelona), the 17th and 18th December 2014 where we expect it will be attended by over 400 professionals. We have scheduled several round tables which involved leading experts and industry representatives.

This Symposium has a special significance for both the social significance of the topics covered and the participation of professional of the highest national and international level. From the conviction that we must help and share farmers of the challenges they face in relation to the management of livestock manure and fertilizers, this Symposium offers a remarkable setting for the dissemination of scientific and technological tools, as well as trends of treatments and management systems used in Europe. We want to facilitate a discussion on the lines of action to be taken to ensure proper management of livestock manure fertilizer and to develop in-depth discussion.

We want this event to be a large gathering of visitors from around the agricultural sector and to serve as a reference with specialized content and forums of experts in all areas converging in crop and animal husbandry to manage the problems of this fundamental sector for the present and future of our society.
