Veterinarian graduated from the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), with an academic exchange at La Trobe University (Australia). She holds a Master’s and PhD from Unesp – Jaboticabal, with a focus on swine health.

During her PhD, she worked on the development of an oral Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae vaccine, in collaboration with the Institute of Physics of USP, the Butantan Institute, and UNIFESP. She also worked as an R&D researcher in a pharmaceutical company, with an emphasis on bioanalytical development applied to veterinary vaccines.

She is currently a Content Analyst at 333 Brazil, where she is responsible for disseminating content related to the swine industry in Brazil.

By exploring the mechanisms of the Common Mucosal Immune System (CMIS), orally administered vaccines are capable of activating coordinated immune responses across different mucosal sites in the body. In this content, we explain how local activation in the GALT triggers protective effects in distant mucosal tissues, such as the respiratory tract, thereby expanding the reach of immune protection.
