From May 28 to 31, INNOVACC, with 333's support, organized a technical trip to Italy with a delegation made up of companies and entities that are members of the cluster to learn first-hand about innovation models, production processes, and valorization strategies in the meat and livestock sector.

It was an intense and enriching itinerary in one of the sector's most dynamic and powerful regions at the European level.

First day

The day began in Treviso with a visit to Gruppo Bonazza - Becher which specializes in cooked and cured products, followed by lunch at its Becher House restaurant.

In the afternoon, the group visited the Azienda Agricola La Grazia pig farm to learn about their production model. They then visited Prosciuttificio Soave, a company specializing in hams and specks. The day ended with a tour of Verona and a meeting with the Italian farmers' association ANAS.

Second day

The group visited the F.lli Galloni S.p.A. facilities where they produce the renowned Prosciutto di Parma, and discussed tradition, quality, and territorial identity. They then visited the Ferrarini Group, where they explored their differentiation and value-added strategies. A visit was also made to the sustainable farm Piggly, located in Mantua, where the day ended with a brief tour of the city.

Third day

In Viadana, the group visited the Ghizelli/Pini slaughterhouse and cutting plant and the Ernesto Grazzi fatty products company, two companies representative of the local production. The last stop was in Zibello, where the group toured the Culatello Museum and the Antica Corte Pallavicina curing cellar, with a traditional lunch. The trip concluded in Bologna with a visit to a local supermarket to learn about the territory's main meat products and the presentations for the end consumer.

333 is grateful for the opportunity to have been part of the organization of this technical trip, and we would like to highlight the excellent feedback from the participants, which confirms the value of these experiences for professional and industry development.
