This animal showed respiratory problems. What can be the cause of these lung lesions?
Chronic ASF clinical picture 99 days after experimental infection. The animal had showed respiratory distress with spasmodic coughing over the period of a month. At necropsy the lungs appeared with a severe bilateral caseous pneumonia; mediastinal lymph nodes appear enlarged
Diferencial diagnosis must include bacterial pneumonia, especially bacteria producing pyogranulomatous infections such as Trueperella pyogenes (although it produces smaller size abcesses) or Mycobacterium (rare)
