Spain's pork exports decrease

Spanish exports of pork and prepared products have decreased by more than 7% in the first quarter.

Between January and March of this year, Spain exported a total of 382,191 tons of pork and prepared pork products, a decrease of 7.4% compared to the same period last year, when 412,822 tons were exported.

Exports to China, the leading destination, showed a slight increase of 1% over the same period of the previous year (166,264 t vs. 164,549 t). Exports to Japan increased by 19%, going from 50,791 t to 60,195 t). On the other hand, shipments to the Philippines and South Korea fell by 24% and 26%, respectively.
