Denmark – Increase in live pig exportations and slaughter

According to information published by the Danish Agriculture and Food Council, throughout 2010 the number of live pigs exported reached 8,405,405 animals, around 112,000 animals more than in 2009 (8,293,393).

According to information published by the Danish Agriculture and Food Council, throughout 2010 the number of live pigs exported reached 8,405,405 animals, around 112,000 animals more than in 2009 (8,293,393).

With respect to the number of animals slaughtered, the increase was almost 1 million more, with 19,288,591 animals slaughtered in 2009 as opposed to the 20,243,421 in 2010.
