Brazil: the agribusiness exports almost reach $100 thousand million

The agribusiness exports reach $99,970 million in 2013: 4.3% more in comparison with the $95,810 million in 2012.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Brazil, the agribusiness exports reached $99,970 million in 2013: 4.3% more in comparison with the $95,810 million in 2012. The imports also grew by 4 %, reaching $17.06 thousand million. The foreign trade balance of the Brazilian agribusiness was positive by $82.91 thousand million.

The main exporting sector was the soybean complex, that represented 31 % of the foreign trade. Meat exports grew by 6.8%, going from $15.74 thousand million in 2012 to $16.80 thousand million in 2013.
