Brazil –Santa Catarina is preparing its pig meat for export to the United States

Officials from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) informed the representatives of the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food Supply (MAPA) of the approval of the entrance of fresh pork produced in Santa Catarina into the country, beginning November 30, 2010.

Officials from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) informed the representatives of the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food Supply (MAPA) of the approval of the entrance of fresh pork produced in Santa Catarina into the country, beginning November 30, 2010.

According to the Secretary of International Relations, Celio Porto, who headed up the Brazilian delegation, the opening up process is about to conclude and the next step will be the arrival of the American technicians who will carry out inspections of the Santa Catarina installations.
