How anti-inflammatory drugs given to the sows affect their piglets

Enric Marco, a practitioner vet, gives his view on this paper about how meloxicam, given orally to sows around farrowing, affects their piglets

While it is well know that oral meloxicam has a benefit for sows by reducing puerperal septicaemia and toxaemia (Mastitis-Metritis-Agalactia syndrome MMA), the indirect effect on piglets have not been clear.

How is affecting the use of anti-inflammatory drugs given to sows to IgG transfer to piglets, piglet mortality and piglet performance ?  Have a look to the lab info taken to the field.
