The objective of this series is to raise awareness on biosecurity among pig producers and other professionals involved at national level, allowing the sector to better combat African Swine Fever.

Eastern Poland farmers were present in an event that allowed the European Commission (DG SANTE), the national authorities (representing the CVO of Poland) and associations (Copa Cogeca, UECBV and POLSUS) to engage in a dialog with them to identify better and more efficient ways for combating and containing ASF from neighbouring countries. The importance of wild boar management, the benefits of biosecurity in farms and related operations (e.g. transport), and the need to implement them consistently and continuously was underlined thought the event.

The next in the series of conferences will take place in Germany (Münster, February 6th) in collaboration with German associations DRV and DBV.
