Italy: new case of ASF in Sardinia

The Animal Health Service of Sacer has detected two cases of African swine fever (ASF) during routine monitorings in the northwest of the island.

The first of them was detected in the municipality of Mores, on a farm with 20 pigs. The established surveillance area includes 8 municipalities and affects 332 pig farms with some 2,600 animals.

The second case has been detected in Sedini, on a farm with 3 pigs. The restriction area includes 337 farms with almost 3,000 heads.
