The negotiations were held in Moscow and were focused on ensuring safety during mutual supplies of animal and plant products including fish, fishery and marine products.
The Rosselkhoznadzor delegation was headed by assistant to the head of the Federal Service Alexey Alexyenko and the delegation of the National Agro-Forestry-Fisheries Quality Assurance Department (NAFIQAD) under Vietnam Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development was headed by Dr. Nguyen Niiu Tiep.
A lot of attention was paid to a possibility to expand imports of Russian poultry and pork products to Vietnam. The Russian party provided the Vietnamese party with lists of Russian plants interested in exporting animal products to Vietnam and documents with reference information on veterinary control system applied in Russia for production of animal products and information on every plant in Russian and in English. The Vietnamese party will consider during a 30-day-period a possibility to include these plants into the lists of those ones approved to export animal products to Vietnam. The Russian party requested for model certificates for export of poultry meat, beef and pork to Vietnam.
