The Brazilian meat sector is becoming established and the trend for the next 15 years is that this sector becomes even stronger. According to the data presented at the Seminar on Prospects for Agriculture 2014/2015, a growth by 70% in fowl production, by 19% in cattle production and by more than 24% in pig production is expected.

According to the Secretary of Agricultural Policies of the Ministry of Agriculture, Stockbreeding and Supply, Mr. Seneri Paludo, one of the factors that contribute towards these prospects is the possibility of using vegetable products for animal feeds. “This is going to help strongly to an increase of meat production, because we count on the transformation of soya and maize protein into pork, beef and fowl protein, which adds value to the products.”
