TOPIGS and Family Farms, Inc in the Philippines have formalized a strategic pig genetics agreement which is composed of gilt multiplication and installation of a modern artificial insemination centers. This agreement will make available the newest and top genetic materials of TOPIGS for both the sow lines and terminal/boar lines in the Philippine swine industry.

The first phase of this project will cover the Luzon island where most of the commercial pig operations are situated and then the next phase will be in the central part of the country to cover the Visayas and Mindanao islands.

This joint undertaking will ensure the significant contribution of TOPIGS and Family Farms for local farmers to have an access of the technologies in genetics and breeding by TOPIGS as well as the proven experience of Family Farms, Inc. in industrial pig farming that emphasizes on total farm economics thru application of available technologies as well as their decades of hands on management in pig production systems.

Family Farms, Inc is one of Philippines biggest producers of pigs. The company has facilities in Batangas, Bulacan and Cebu area. Family Farms has a targeted output of 250,000 finishers per year and continues to aspire in achieving 500,000 finishers in the next few years.

TOPIGS Philippines is one of the market leaders in the Philippine pig breeding industry. The fast growing company has its office in Muntinlupa City.

With a production of 1,100,000 crossbred gilts and over 6 million doses of semen per year, TOPIGS is one of the biggest genetics suppliers in the World. TOPIGS stands for progress in pigs.
