Enric graduated at the Universidad de Zaragoza after playing many rugby matches with quite a lot of success as scrum-half. Soon after graduating he joined the team of NUTRAL, in the first place in their diagnosis laboratory and also as a veterinarian with the job of offering the service of porcine nutrition, production and pathology to important clients. Later he moved to another school, the school of life, spending time in different countries of the world (England, Germany, Denmark, Holland, USA…) with only one interest, swine. He had many professors in this period of nearly one year (C. Tew, J. Walton, W. Smith, P. Blackburn, A. Douglas, J. Mackinnon, P. English, J. Plomgaard, H. Harris, R. Glock, J.Connor...). In 1991 he set up the porcine veterinary consultancy, Barceló y Marco Consulting, with José Barceló Bonada. In 1996 he formed B&M, C.V.P. S.L. together with José Barceló Bonada and Miquel Collell Suriñach, a veterinary consultancy specializing in swine. In 1998 he participated in the founding of 3tres3.com. In 2006 he set up “marco i collell S.L.” together with Miquel Collell Suriñach, a veterinary consultancy specializing in swine which is where he currently works.

During his long profesional career, Enric has been a member of the editorial committee of journals (European Pig News), professor in different university masters courses as a veterinarian, and collaborator in practical courses at the Department of Animal Welfare of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

He has collaborated on more than 90 occasions in different national and international congresses and conferences. He is the author of more than 20 articles for prestigious journals and he has also written some books. He is also a member of several professional associations.
